VCAT is a tribunal that hears a wide range of disputes, including building & related disputes, consumer transactions, and small claims.

When preparing a report for VCAT, experts must ensure that their reports comply with VCAT's rules and guidelines, which include providing a clear and concise summary of the expert's opinions, limitations of their expertise, and any assumptions made.

Their reports must also be signed and dated by the expert, and the expert must be prepared to give evidence in court if required. VCAT compliant reports typically include a clear and concise summary of the issues in dispute, the expert's opinions on those issues, and any relevant supporting evidence or references.

"What to look for in a home inspection ?"

A due diligence building inspection following the industry builders inspection checklist - building inspections checklist, robustly supports the report.

You may have requested a new home construction inspection, structural damage or final home inspection, regardless of the report type, it can often reveal items your building inspector (RBS) has overlooked.

The building consultant inspector should not be confused with a real estate inspector.

In addition, timing is critical for the building inspection for new house, the pivotal time being prior to making final payment to the builder.  Other stages include practical completion inspection checklist stage, and again, final inspection.
